Columbus Zoo Day #2

This gorilla was chilling on his back. .right against the window. That is his thigh/hip against it.

This was right infront of Leila- this guy was old. .all gray chin and the others moved out of its way when he came by.

This gorillas. . well . . .like to. . .'have relations'. . *wink*wink* but ,You'll be glad to know (Eve) that this was 'G' rated this time.

This is the oldest/longest gorilla in captivity (He was the 1st ever born in captivity in 1956)

I got to feed the birds nectar- it was AWESOME! I had so many birds all over me. It was worth the $2 for the experience!

Leila loved learning about these birds. They weren't very friendly to fingers but Leila didn't get bit- they do a warning snap first, and that startles Leila.

"Feed the birds. . toppins. .toppins a day. . "

When you go into the Aviary with the nectar- the zoo people tell you to keep walking when you get in. .SO I am balancing this nectar far from my body as possible AND carrying Leila on my right hip WHILE video taping with my right hand. Can you count how many came and went, I couldn't! It was also very loud in there. Especially when they were perched on my shoulder and still chirping.

Gorilla exhibit. There is a a dad and mom with their baby. It was so cute to see them try and teach the baby how to climb/swing and cross ropes.

This is the family of gorillas.
